This Privacy Policy in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia sets out how Gunn Eye Consultation Sdn Bhd and/or its group of companies (“GPS Eye Specialist Centre”) collects, uses and protects your personal information which you have provided to GPS Eye Specialist.

The term “GPS Eye Specialist” or “us” refers to GPS Eye Specialist as the owner of this website. The term “you” or “your” refers to the user or viewer of GPS Eye Specialist’s website.

1. Why does GPS Eye Specialist collect your personal information?

(A) Your personal information is collected for the following purposes:

  1. for patient registration with GPS Eye Specialist;
  2. to send you invites to GPS Eye Specialist’s events, promotional materials, advertisements for marketing purposes via email or short message service (SMS);
  3. for administrative purposes;
  4. for assessment and analysis of the market, in relation to GPS Eye Specialist’s treatments, products and services;
  5. for monitor, review and improve GPS Eye Specialist’s services;

(B) For this purpose we collect personal information which includes but not limited to the following:

  2. contact information including address, email address and phone number;
  3. details of your visits to GPS Eye Specialist’s centre and/or clinic and or website;

  5. gender, age and date of birth;
  6. such other relevant information to enable GPS Eye Specialist to provide you with GPS Eye Specialist’s treatments, products and services;
2. How does GPS Eye Specialist collect your personal information?

GPS Eye Specialist collects this information when you visit GPS Eye Specialist Centre, when you register or when you telephone, send message, WhatsApp or email GPS Eye Specialist or correspond with GPS Eye Specialist.

By providing your personal information to GPS Eye Specialist, you have agreed to give your consent to the processing of your personal information by GPS Eye Specialist for the stated lawful purposes when your personal information was collected. GPS Eye Specialist shall not process your personal information unless you have given consent to the processing of your personal information. “Processing” means collecting, recording, holding or storing your personal information or carrying out any operation or set of operations on your personal information.

3. Sharing of your personal information

GPS Eye Specialist do not sell, rent, or lease GPS Eye Specialist’s patient information to third parties. GPS Eye Specialist may however share and/or disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:

  1. for purposes of providing information to your treating healthcare professional;
  2. where GPS Eye Specialist is required to do so by law, regulation, or any binding judgment, order, or requirement of any court or other competent authority;
  3. where you have consented to such disclosure.

GPS Eye Specialist may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting the changes on this page.
